The Honduran Organic SHG EP COMSA Washed Processed coffee is sourced from smallholder farmers in the Marcala region of western Honduras. This region is known for its high-altitude coffee farms, which produce beans with a balanced and bright flavor profile. The coffee is grown using organic and sustainable farming practices, and the farmers are part of the COMSA (Café Orgánico Marcala) cooperative, which is committed to promoting environmentally-friendly coffee farming and supporting local communities. This particular coffee is washed processed, which involves removing the fruit from the beans before drying, resulting in a clean and bright flavor profile.

Chocolatey, sweet, and nutty Honduran coffee with medium body and lower acidity. Floral notes add a touch of complexity to this delicious and balanced cup.

Brewing Instructions

  • Choose Roast Kava beans: The flavor and quality of your coffee will be largely determined by the quality of the beans you use. Look for freshly roasted beans that are marked with a roast date.
  • Measure your coffee: A good rule of thumb is to use about 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water. Adjust this based on your personal taste preferences.
  • Grind your coffee beans: Ideally, you should grind your coffee just before brewing it. A medium grind is appropriate for most brewing methods.
  • Boil water: Use fresh, cold water and bring it to a boil. The temperature should be around 195 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit for optimal extraction.
  • Brew your coffee: There are many different brewing methods, including pour over, French press, drip, and espresso. Each method has its own specific instructions, but the basic idea is to mix the coffee and hot water and allow the coffee to steep for several minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy: Pour your coffee into a mug and enjoy it while it's still hot.
